Synopsis: Jenny is having a good time with her friends, having forgotten her trauma at least for a time. When Azula comes to her, she knows and remembers...and it's no easier now than it was when it happened. As Azula leads her to where they have to go, Jenny finds comfort and solace in the puppies she was given when she first came to this place. But when they pass through the portal, and those puppies turn into grown-up hounds, Jenny is faced with a decision that is far scarier than anything she has ever experienced.

Thoughts: For a short story (12 pages), this is packed full of emotion, and incredibly thought-provoking. It starts out as a sweet story, with children playing on the playground, accompanied by their puppies. But then it begins to get darker, and you realize all is not as it seemed. By the time you get to the totally unexpected ending, you will have your head in a whirl. It makes you question your ideas of justice and of the afterlife--and it will stay with you for a long time to come.
