My thoughts:
I was very impressed with this Bible in terms of the devotional aspect. Each devotional includes a Bible story, discussion questions for the family, and a key verse (excellent for memorization). It also has a note at the bottom of the page to direct you to the next devotional (in addition, there is an index of all the devotionals at the back of the book). The questions for the family range from simple to more complex, so that family members of all ages can be included in the discussion.

The illustrations are very well done. They are detailed and colorful, sure to grab the attention of younger children.

There are 9 full-color maps in the back as well: The Lands of the Patriarchs--The Exodus From Egypt--The Lands Assigned to the Tribes of Israel--The Kingdom of Saul, David and Solomon--The Divided Kingdom of Israel and Judah--Old Testament Jerusalem--New Testament Jerusalem--The Land of Israel During the New Testament--Places Paul Visited.

This would make a marvelous gift to a young family, and then could hopefully be passed down to the next generation. (I know that my copy is going to my son and daughter-in-law, who are expecting their first child this fall!)

Many thanks to FlyBy Promotions for providing me with a copy of this Bible in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions expressed herein are entirely my own.
